Best Things To Do In Vang Vieng

• Walk around the town

• Shop at the Night Market (Vang Vieng Walking Street from 6-10PM daily)

• Explore Tham Chang Cave

• Watch the sunset from the riverbank or a rooftop bar

• Ride through Nathong Valley

• Go cave tubing in Than None

• Fly in a hot air balloon

• Go tipsy tubing or kayaking on the river

• Hike to a viewpoint (Nam Xay Viewpoint, Silver Cliffs, Pha Ngern, Pha Poung Kham)

• Swim in the Blue Lagoons (We recommend Blue Lagoon 2 or 3)

Places To Stay In Vang Vieng

• Vang Vieng Freedom Star's Hotel ($ - where we stayed): Simple, clean, bright, and comfy rooms. Breakfast included with varied options. Small pool as well.

• Confetti Garden Hotel ($$): Excellent location, great view from rooftop bar, and comfortable bedrooms. Also a pool on the property.

• ViengTara VangVieng Resort ($$$): Chalets are located in a peaceful and scenic setting amidst lush rice paddies. Chalets are clean, quiet and very comfy with plenty of amenities and with a lovely breakfast.

Places To Eat And Drink In Vang Vieng

• Happy Mango Thai Restaurant: lovely Thai food of high quality but pricier than most other restaurants in Vang Vieng (try the massaman curry or mango sticky rice!)

• La cigale: decent pasta's but also great local food

• Luang Prabang Bakery & Restaurant: good place for breakfast or lunch with delicious patries

• Naked Espresso Vang Vieng: great coffee shop

• The mini Cafe & restaurant: come here for the view of the rice paddies (and boardwalk)

• Tubing bar: this is the last stop of the tipsy tubing and is a real party if you come around 6pm

• Vang Vieng Walking Street: this is where the night market is

• Victor Place: cheap local food

• Viman Vang Vieng Thai-German Restaurant: great handmade schnitzels and German food
